We are delighted to announce that dedicated  BSGI committee member Sophie Wong, has been awarded Trainer of the Year 2025–26 by the Trainees in Wales Obstetrics & Gynaecology Society (T.W.O.G.S).

T.W.O.G.S is a trainee led society representing obstetrics and gynaecology trainees across Wales. The society provides a forum for trainees to raise concerns, share ideas, and enhance both the educational and social aspects of O&G specialty training.

Sophie is the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Ultrasound Manager and a Sonographer at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, where she plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality ultrasound services while leading and supporting multidisciplinary training. She is widely recognised for her commitment to education, mentorship, and trainee development, and for fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

This award reflects the high esteem in which Sophie is held by trainees and colleagues alike and recognises her outstanding contribution to training within obstetrics and gynaecology.

BSGI extends its warmest congratulations to Sophie on this well-deserved achievement and thanks her for her continued dedication to education, training, and the work of the Society.
