Anthony Griffiths - President

I have been a consultant at the University Hospital of Wales for 15 years year specialising in endometriosis and infertility. Previous to that, I was a research fellow studying the application of Doppler ultrasound in fertility. I was a founding member of the BSGI and its first treasurer. I have over 80 publications and 2 books in medical education, endometriosis and ultrasound. 

I have served as college tutor, clinical director, RCOG council, convener of the RCOG part I course, chairing the part I committee, Welsh executive committee and National speciality advisory group for government. I have been a level II scanner for the UKCTOCS trial and have led a MSc module for Cardiff University in gynaecological ultrasound. 

I have enjoyed lecturing on basic sciences of ultrasound in China, Africa, American and the middle East as part of my wider role. I’m committed to promoting the aims of the BSGI.
