The BSGI celebrates the launch of The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Women’s Health, a journal dedicated to advancing clinical practice, research, and advocacy in women’s health. The welcome publication of this journal aligns closely with the BSGI’s own aims and objectives, particularly in advancing the clinical application of gynaecological ultrasound.  We are committed to improving diagnostic accuracy and patient care, which mirrors The Lancet’s mission to transform women’s lives through evidence-based practice.  We share a common goal of fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and promoting equitable access to training, equipment, and support across healthcare settings. In line with The Lancet’s emphasis on addressing social determinants of health, we recognise the importance of accessible women’s healthcare, aiming to reduce diagnostic delays and advocating for the highest standards of care in gynaecology.  As a society with charitable goals, we are excited about the potential impact of this new journal in shaping policy and clinical practice, and we look forward to contributing to the ongoing dialogue and progress in women’s health.
