Beyond the Image: 35 Years of Advancing CT Perfusion

This academic meeting marks 35 years since a Cambridge team published the world’s first CT perfusion image on a conventional CT scanner—an important milestone in the development of functional imaging.

Taking place on Tuesday 8 September 2026 at Downing College, Cambridge, this one-day event will bring together radiologists, medical physicists and radiographers to explore the evolution of CT perfusion from pioneering innovation to established clinical practice. The programme will highlight applications in cerebral, cardiac and oncological imaging, alongside the expanding role of hybrid CT perfusion/PET.

With contributions from leading national and international speakers, the meeting offers an opportunity to reflect on the achievements that have shaped perfusion imaging while looking ahead to future developments in the field.

The event is approved for up to 7 CPD credits.
