Applications are invited for two posts of Clinical Fellow in Radiology, based at University Hospital Coventry. The posts are available for a fixed term of 12 months but shorter placements will be considered.
The post holder will train in advanced imaging of their chosen sub-specialty, whilst participating in the general workload of the department. Training will be tailored to suit the requirements of the appointee, and can include musculoskeltal imaging, trauma imaging, gastrointestinal imaging (upper & lower), hepatopancreatobiliary as well as gynaecological imaging. You will join a team of 31 Consultant Radiologists and 16 Registrars in a department which performed over 70,000 CTs, 50,000 MRIs and 50,000 ultrasounds in 2017/18.
University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust is one of the largest university teaching hospitals in Europe with over 1,400 beds and over 800,000 episodes of care each year. The Coventry Hospital site offers every specialty under one roof with the exception of specialist paediatric surgery. It is the second busiest trauma centre in the UK, with one of the best survival rates.
Applicants must hold FRCR (or equivalent) and CCT in Clinical Radiology (or equivalent) and must hold, or be eligible to hold, full GMC registration in the UK. An enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team are essential.
